Unicoi County Long Term Recovery Group Disaster Preparedness Event

Join the Unicoi County Long Term Recovery Group for a fun, family-friendly Emergency Preparedness Event on Sunday, September 27, 2026, from 1:00–4:00 p.m. at First Christian Church in Erwin. Disasters can happen with little or no warning, and being prepared can make a tremendous difference in keeping you and your family safe. Come learn how to prepare before, during, and after an emergency, meet community partners, and receive helpful preparedness information and resources. Emergency preparedness bags and weather radios will be available while supplies last, and there will also be outdoor games and activities for children. Bring the whole family and learn how we can all be better prepared when the unexpected happens—Together, We Are Better!
